The method of improving the service life of excavator roller

        The structure of the roller is mainly divided into wheel body, roller shaft, shaft sleeve, sealing ring and end cover. If the hardness of the roller axle and shaft sleeve is not up to standard, there will be oil leakage less than a few days after installation.         The walking mechanism of crawler excavator carries all the weight of the excavator and undertakes the driving function of the excavator. The main damage form is wear, which is mainly manifested in the following contact parts: the outer surface of driving wheel teeth and track pin sleeve; the raceway surface of guide wheel and track link rail; the raceway surface of roller and track link; the contact surface of track pin and pin sleeve; the track shoe and ground.




        1. Wear of track

        In the walking mechanism of dry track (relative to lubricated track and sealed track), the track is not lubricated, resulting in wear between the track pin and the pin sleeve due to relative movement in the working process. The wear between the pin and the pin sleeve of the track is inevitable and normal, but this kind of wear will make the pitch of the track lengthen and make the track too large. If the wear continues, the track will move laterally, which will cause the wear of the guide wheel, roller, carrier roller, driving gear teeth and other parts, and also aggravate the wear of the track pin and sleeve.

        The wear of the track also shows the decrease of the height of the track thorn due to the contact between the track shoe and the ground, and the decrease of the height of the track link caused by the contact between the track surface of the track link and the guide wheel, carrier roller and roller. When the track shoes are worn seriously, the traction force of the excavator will be lost.


        2. Wear of guide wheel

        The wear of the guide wheel is caused by the raceway surface contacting the chain rail link, while the wear of the convex width of the guide wheel body is caused by the side contact with the chain rail link. The results show that: the convex width of the guide wheel body decreases; the diameter of the raceway surface of the guide wheel body decreases; and the diameter of the guide wheel body decreases


        4. Wear of carrier roller

        The wear of the carrier roller is caused by contacting the raceway surface of the chain rail link. The results show that: the width of carrier roller flange decreases; the outer diameter of carrier roller raceway surface decreases; the outer diameter of carrier roller flange decreases.


        5. Wear of supporting wheel

        The wear of the roller is the same as that of the carrier roller and guide wheel, and it is also caused by the contact with the raceway surface of the chain rail joint. The specific performance is as follows: the diameter of outer flange decreases; the diameter of raceway surface decreases; the diameter of double inner flange decreases; the width of double inner flange decreases; the width of outer flange decreases.


        According to the wear condition of crawler type walking mechanism, the following measures can be taken:

        (1) If the excavator walking mechanism has obvious wear in the early stage, the operation should be stopped immediately, and the coincidence degree between the center of guide wheel, carrier roller, supporting wheel, driving wheel and the longitudinal center line of walking frame should be checked;

        (2) In order to prolong the service life, the front and rear support wheels can be changed, but the original positions of single and double side support wheels on the walking frame should be kept unchanged;

        (3) After all parts of the walking mechanism are worn to a high degree of use, the guide wheel, carrier roller, roller, driving wheel tooth, shoe thorn and chain rail link can be repaired or replaced by surfacing welding;

        (4) If the pitch of the track becomes longer due to wear, it can be repaired by reversing the link or replacing it with a new one.
